2020: Off To A Great Start or Nah?

Hey Chic Baes,

Denim Dress & Duster Cardigan - Target | Booties - DSW.com

To be honest 2020 thus far ain't been it! I mean no seriously its looking like we may need a do over already.
Let's see for starters we still have this crazy man in office...boooooo! He survived the so-called "impeachment" trial. We still got this foolishness with R. Kelly and his women going on, and that is just too much. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle renounce their throne, which isn't bad but I must admit I'm not surprised! OH gosh Harvey Weinstein was convicted and sent to Riker's after having heart surgery. That's right if Bill had to go so did he! More and more people are getting released on prison reform which is also a win!

We most certainly cant forget about the biggie, with Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi passing away in a plane crash! Like I think my heart still broken from that. No one saw that coming and I'm sure his family is still in such disbelief. I cant even begin to imagine what that must feel like, but I cringe at the thought and his family will forever have my continuous prayers.

So you guys may not know but I started a business last year (Sugar & Posh'd Boutique), selling women's apparel and accessories. It's been a love-hate thing for sure. At one point I had given up but then I picked it up again right after Thanksgiving. While I am proud of myself for getting back to it, it's really hard! Running a business is hard (conversation for another time). Anyway we're on IG if you want to check us out! I have started back with some home projects and I hope to share those soon as well. I also would love to start a You Tube channel. I have a lot of thoughts and ideas and hope all of them can come to fruition! Giving you a little outfit inspo as well and wanting you to know that this duster cardigan is my absolute fave and I have it in black! 😊 So, how's the year shaping up for you thus far?

'Til next time,

XX,
Bambi

  1. Hey Bambi, this is pretty neat. My year has started off okay. 2019 was not a good year for me. I gained a total of 30 pounds that put me at the 200 mark. So this year has been geared to getting that weight off. I’m still getting use to marriage, “” Lord it’s a job in itself!! I thank God for my husband tho. We’re still house hunting and that’s frustrating because I only want to reside in a certain area and he’s willing to go wherever. I’ve opened my mind to a few different places but until my son is finished school RICHMOND CITY is off limit. I work within RPS and I will do anything to keep him out of their school system. We’re been in Hanover since the beginning and just recently moved to Henrico and since the transition he thinks he is some kind of thug lol!!! He’s more concerned about his clothing and who likes him...boy bye! My daughter has finally enlisted in the Army so she’ll be leaving soon that’s bittersweet. God’s got His hands on the both of them.

Congratulations on your business venture. I pray it grows in your favor. I love this idea of blogging. I started a personal blog on IG for my hair @loclovestorii just for fun. It’s my dreadlock journey. I’ll be sure to lookout for yours because I love you style. It’s unique. ❤️ Blessed be love!!

  2. Devonna,

I’m glad that the year is starting off ok for you because at least it’s not it’s horrible! Like you I struggle with weight! I know that you’re newly married and you know what they say all that good loving adds to the weight thing lol! But anyways I always say slow and steady wins the race. The only thing that can help with that is consistency! (Something I struggle with). As far as the house hunting thing, I say take your time don’t rush it but you have to willing to compromise as well. Don’t limit yourself change isn’t easy, but I understand about the school situation. As for your daughter I pray that she will be safe and I pray that you have the strength because she will need you for sure! It’s very commendable that that’s the career path she has chosen! Thank you for the well wishes on my business! I will go and look for you blog as well! I wish you nothing but success with it! Thanks so much for supporting me and my blog, it means a lot! ❤️

(wondering if it'll be on clearance soon, lol) Congrats on starting the boutique. I'm heading to IG to check it out. Oh & my yead is going well so far, no major complaints. #xoxoRandom
