This master bedroom makeover was both fun and taxing. Finding the right pieces to make it feel like a sanctuary took some time. After going back and forth about so many things, I think I am finally ready to reveal it to you guys.
I knew I wanted to keep the linens and pillows as simple as possible. Definitely had to go with a white comforter for that and I decided against using a million pillows which is great at the end of the night when its time to actually get in the bed. I did buy new throw pillows because I wanted the feather-down pillows and then covered them with pillow covers.
The prints are from Etsy, which I downloaded sent to Walmart to have printed and found the frames from Target. I think they came out well for a total of $100. The finish is matte and the size is 20x30.
It's always in the details!! So very CHIC!
The Hubs and I went back and forth on a chair for this corner for weeks! He absolutely loved the old chair but it was ratty and old and re-upholstering an accent chair may be beyond my scope of decorating expertise. We managed to settle on this or rather I just made the executive decision...lol!
Nothing like fresh flowers on a bedside table!
I think this mirror maybe the entire reason for the room re-do! The finish on this mirror is absolutely captivating. For his table, we went with a money tree, it is meant to bring good fortune!
The dresser started off as weathered gray finish, which I then painted one side black and one side white. I decided that the black was out and painted the entire thing white and added the gold knobs.
A full size mirror was definitely needed for this wall and I painted it green to match the accent wall. The closet doors we removed long ago. The closet is super small so we added crates in the inside (not pictured) to maximize the space and for that we needed to add ceiling to floor curtains. I went with white to make the space appear bigger.
This room just makes me so happy! My spirit is at peace when I enter. This may be my new favorite place! Which room is your house in your happy place?
